Meet Mim

As an agent for change to peace my focus is transforming leaders from the reactive space of “doing” to the the creative space of “being” through human connection.

I have climbed the corporate ladder, one rung at a time, I have smashed through multiple glass ceilings, embarrassingly been the “first woman to” … and along the way I have learnt the strategies and skills to help others navigate the complexity of the corporate environment.

I have made many mistakes along the way, learnings that offer wisdom and guidance that can be of service to others. Many a time I have said to myself, “If only I knew that before I started, if only I had the courage to ask for guidance.” Coaching and mentoring wasn’t a “thing” in my developmental leadership path.

This is my pledge, my commitment, to current and future leaders, to be of service, to share the experiences, the impact of the choices I made. Through the lessons I have learned others can step over, around and through the complexities of leadership.

I was a curious child with my head forever in books, nourishing my imagination, known as the “Book Worm”, I accepted the label with pride. My thirst for knowledge and desire to understand how things work, inspired by my childhood curiosity has been instrumental in the success of my 30 year career.

Traversing a broad spectrum of industries, I flourished in multiple sectors such as financial services, banking, accounting, financial strategy, strategic planning, organisational transformation, systems development, continuous improvement initiatives and governance. I have had the fortune to work in global organisations, internationally and in Australia.

I am fiercely competitive, I like winning and the planning and hard work to get onto the podium. I thrive on a challenge, and harnessing my natural ability for whole of systems thinking, delight in finding solutions to problems.

I have led at all levels of the traditional organisational hierarchy and know the challenges that exist within each of them.

I am a business owner, experienced Director, ladder holder, cheerleader to my family, friends and colleagues, encourager, collaborator, Executive, challenger, disco diva, wholehearted traveler, leader for peace, champion for sustainable leadership, retired rower and dressage queen, writer, connector of the invisible thread and a story teller.

Oh and I still LOVE reading.

If letters are important to you, here are a few that I am proud to hold.

B.Com, CA, GAICD, CIO, CFO, MAHRI, MCMI, TRTP Practitioner.

I am proud to have worked for these organisations, each has afforded me extraordinary opportunities that I am profoundly grateful for.

Hydro Tasmania, Commonwealth Bank, Deloitte, Clarence City Council, Norske Skog, MEGGITT Training Systems, Relocations Plus, Tourism Tasmania, KMart, Stallards Camera House.

What am I passionate about?

I am passionate about leadership and guiding individuals in developing greater self- awareness and consciousness by working on the inner game which affects a leader’s outer game. One person at a time, we have the capacity to change whole systems.

Just imagine if we shift the inner game enough that the current paradigms that enable conflict, inequity, mistrust, conflict and hate become a global community a global system for good.

Now that is exciting!

Mahatma Gandhi’s words “in a gentle way you can shake the world” guide me.
